Every clinical trial is led by a medical doctor or physician or
investigator. Each clinical trials have a research team that consists of
doctors, nurses, pharmacist, social workers, and other health care
professionals.
Clinical studies can be funded
and supported by pharmaceutical companies, academic medical centers, voluntary
groups, and other organizations, in addition to Federal agencies (National
Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department
of Veterans Affairs). Doctors and other health care providers, and other persons
can also supports or funds the clinical research.
